Built on how dogs really learn

The method behind every lesson comes from published research.

  • Short sessions win

Dogs learned faster from one short session than from three back to back. Short beats long. Every lesson here is built to fit in a coffee break.

  • Rewards beat punishment

Owners who used rewards reported better obedience and fewer problems. Nothing in this app asks you to frighten or correct your dog. It does not work, and you would hate it.

  • It sticks

Dogs still remembered a learned task four weeks later. You are not signing up to repeat this forever. You teach it once, properly, and it stays.

Questions, answered

Everything you might want to know before you start.

What is CaninePal?

CaninePal is an iPhone app for training your dog at home. It gives you a plan built around your dog, short illustrated lessons, daily care routines, and CaninePal AI for the questions that come up along the way.

Is it only for puppies?

No. There are courses for a new dog's first days, puppies, teenagers and adult dogs, from basic obedience and loose-leash walking to barking, reactivity and time home alone. Your plan adapts to your dog's age.

How much time does it take?

Each lesson takes 2 to 5 minutes, and most end with one short practice for the day. Research shows short sessions work better than long ones, so a few focused minutes is the goal.

What training methods does CaninePal use?

Reward-based training only. Nothing in the app asks you to frighten, hurt or correct your dog. If you already use a prong collar or an e-collar, the Training Tools course explains the evidence and how to move away from them.

How does CaninePal AI work?

Ask a question in your own words and CaninePal AI answers with your dog's profile and progress in mind, then links you to the lesson that helps. It can also tell you where to find things in the app.

It is powered by OpenAI and only turns on after you agree. It can make mistakes, so for health or safety worries, talk to your vet.

Can my family train with me?

Yes. Sign in and use Family sharing so everyone in your home works from the same dog profile, plan and progress. Consistent cues from everyone help your dog learn faster.

How much does CaninePal cost?

CaninePal will be free to download. If you choose a subscription, the price and any trial are shown in the app before you pay, and you can cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.

Is CaninePal available on Android?

Not yet. CaninePal is made for iPhone, and its private beta is in preparation.

What happens to my data?
